We often get requests for Mini Bernedoodles that will mature around 20 pounds. With a F1 Mini Bernedoodle pairing the likely hood of a puppy staying under or around 20 pounds is very low. Meadow is a rare small Mini Bernedoodle. We decided we wanted to be able to consistently produce puppies that would stay around 20 pounds. To achieve this we needed to add Mini Bernedoodles in our program. We picked Meadow for her small size so we can get puppies that will be as small as 15 pounds full grown. Our Mini Bernedoodles are used to create Tiny Bernedoodles and Teddy Bear Bernedoodles. Meadow will have Tiny Bernedoodle puppies in 2018 and Teddy Bear Bernedoodle puppies in 2019.
The average size for a F1 Mini Bernedoodle is around 40 pounds. Meadow is only 18 pounds. She is a small f1 Mini Bernedoodle meaning she is still 50% Bernese mountain dog and 50% Mini Poodle. She is considered a smaller Mini Bernedoodle. She will have tiny bernedoodle puppies.
We picked Meadow for our Tiny Bernedoodle and Teddy Bear Bernedoodle program because of her lineage and temperament. She comes from 4 generations of health tested parents on her mom’s side and 1 on her dad’s side. Some of the Bernese Mountain dogs in her pedigree lived to be over 12 and 13 years old. Meadow is Mia’s full sister.
She has the perfect personality to produce calm, easy going, Bernedoodles. One of the reasons we chose her other than her calm temperament and long lineage of health was because of her personality. She stands out in our program because of her love for people. She does not care who it is she will sit on your lap and ask for cuddles. She is not afraid of anyone. She does great going to nursing homes because she is happy to see everyone. She is not a good guard dog because she doesn’t care who you are all she wants is to be loved. She is the definition of a lap dog. We are lucky she is not big because she always wants to be held.
I am excited to see her Tiny Bernedoodle puppies in the near future. I know they will be amazing just like their mother. Meadow is 18 pounds of perfection and around 15 inches tall.
We tested Meadow for her hips, elbows, heart, and patella. She passed hips good, elbows normal, heart normal, and patella normal. We did her DNA testing with Paw prints genetics. She is clear on GM2 Gangliosidosis, clear on Degenerative Myelopathy, clear on Progressive Retinal Atrophy, clear/carrier on Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration, clear on Osteochondrodysplasia, and clear on Von Willebrand Disease. She is healthy dog and I know that will pass down to her puppies.
We are planning a litter with Meadow to be born late June 2018. We are expecting Tricolor, Merle, and parti Tiny Bernedoodles from her litter. You can see past Tiny Bernedoodles Here.
Meadow is one of our small Mini Bernedoodles in our Bernedoodle program.
Meadow has the exact temperament we were looking for. Even though she inherited the small genes of the poodle she still has a calm temperament. When looking for a Mini Bernedoodle we make sure that they are very low energy, loyal, and cuddly. The reason we do this is so when bred back to a poodle we can maintain that calm easy going temperament of the Bernese mountain dog.
Meadow will have her first litter of Teddy Bear Bernedoodle puppies early 2019. We are expecting tricolor and parti Teddy Bear Bernedoodles. You can see past Teddy Bear bernedoodle puppies here.
